JazmineJazmine was a Philadelphia native, was born and raised there. Pam was Jazmine's mother. She is a former backing singer for Philadelphia International Records. When she was five years old, old, her father landed job as curator at The city's Historic Strawberry Mansion in the Strawberry Mansion section, and her family moved into the historical landmark. In 2005 she graduated from the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts with a major in vocal music. Sullivan began her singing career as a contralto in the kids' choir, and then just a couple of years later, in the adult group. Sullivan wasn't exposed to secular music at first. "I began singing in solos at church and a person wanted me to sign up to a gospel record when I was 11. But I wasn't ready to take that step," she says. Then, McDonald's held a contest for children in large cities. I was selected to sing "Accept what God allows" during It's Showtime At the Apollo. And the people were very enthusiastic. Stevie Wonder sang her part on his birthday, 13 years old. Sullivan made her first signing with Jive Records when she was 15. When she was 15, she was signed to Jive Records. She made the entire album, but it wasn't made available for release. Sullivan was then dismissed from the record label. Missy Elliott was the producer for some tracks that were on their debut album. For instance "Backstabbers", a buzz song produced by Timbaland, was written by Elliott.
